ich besitze das buch natürlich, ich kann es empfehlen - sehr kurzweilig.

ja, stimmt. die ham das nach dem klf-handbuch gemacht. gerhard potuznik war auch mit dabei. ich hab das buch, ist recht dünn & kurzweilig, in paar stunden locker zu lesen.
übrigens gibts bei spoiler im museumsquartier ne dvd mit einem vortrag von bill drummond (=einer von den zwei klf-jungs) zum ausborgen. extrem empfehlenswert, sowas von inspirierend. der ist so quasi mein held. und außerdem sieht man beim vortrag dauernd frostkopf von hinten.

haha, auch nicht schlecht: KLF stands for Kopyright Liberation Front. Their first album, "1987 (What the Fuck is Going On?)", made use of the newly accessible "sampling" technology to borrow parts of other records and assemble them into something new. This is routine now - just ask Fatboy Slim - but was controversial at the time and led to a lawsuit with Abba over the unauthorised use of a passage from "Dancing Queen", after which all unsold copies of the record had to be destroyed. Presaging things to come, Drummond and Cauty travelled to Stockholm in order to present a commemorative gold disc to Abba singer Agnetha Faltskog. Also presaging things to come, they couldn't find her, so gave the disc to a prostitute they happened across in the street, and came home.

There are many thousand copies of the seven inch version now available through the regular outlets. The twelve-inch contains 147,067 words, the seven-inch only 111,536. The twelve inch contains more stories. It is bigger, fatter and better and not one of the five copies are for sale. Both the twelve and seven-inch versions of 45 were written by Bill Drummond. Pencils, pens and crayons will be provided for you to add your own initialled and dated notes in the margins of these twelve-inchers.

hui, und der link auf klf.de is ja fein, ich hab denen mal einige coverscans geschickt und bin immer noch unter meinem grandiosen pseudonym pinback in den credits. sehr schoen.
"The KLF - What Time is Love" war im jahre 1992 der erste track auf der bravo hits 1 (eigentlich ohne "1", damals wusste man noch nicht wieviele ausgaben in zukunft popkultures grauen versprühen würden). das buch wurde dann einige jahre später auf fm4 ziemlich gehypt. dankwart habe ich mal mit KLF t-shirt gesehen, nehme an er kennt sich aus.
